Store owner: 5 suspects used ladder to flee from store robbery in Baychester

Police say an employee suffered injuries but is expected to be OK.

Police say they're searching for five suspects linked to an overnight convenience store robbery in Baychester.
According to police, the five male suspects between the ages of 18 and 22 years old forced their way into Habibi Convenience at 1357 East Gun Hill Rd. at around 3:45 a.m.
The suspects took an unknown amount of cash and merchandise. When they attempted to escape, a 43-year-old store employee tried to stop the suspects and lock them inside the store.
The store owner told News 12 that the suspects used a ladder to break the door and flee the area.
Police say the employee suffered injuries but is expected to be OK.
The owner of the store tells News 12 this is the fourth incident to happen to the store in a year.
The suspects are still at large.
