Garth Brooks returns to NY for Yankee Stadium show

Country music superstar Garth Brooks returned to New York City Friday night for the first time in nearly two decades.
The Yankee Stadium performance also included his wife, country singer Trisha Yearwood.
His last show in the Big Apple was a free concert in Central Park for almost 1 million fans in 1997. Brooks had never before appeared in the Bronx, but he told News 12 that he is honored to play at Yankee Stadium.
Brooks also said that although the Bronx is known for hip-hop and not country music, New York is the No. 1 state for his album and ticket sales.
"This is like coming home, even though I'm nowhere near from here," he said.
Brooks and Yearwood will also be performing another concert on Saturday.
