'Triborough Bridge' turns 80 years old

It's a milestone anniversary for one of the city's most iconic spans.
The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, long known as the Triborough Bridge, turns 80 years old today.
The bridge linking the Bronx, Queens and Manhattan opened July 11, 1936 to great fanfare, with then-President Franklin Roosevelt attending the ceremonies.
It was renamed to honor former U.S. Attorney General Bobby Kennedy in 2008.
