Former restaurant cleaned out after complaints of foul smell

Bronx residents say for weeks a rancid odor has been coming from the King Dragon Chinese Restaurant on Mount Eden Avenue.
Neighbors say the pungent stench has been coming from the restaurant for two months after the restaurant closed without warning. They believe the odor is from rotting food and garbage left inside.
Shop owners near the restaurant say that the foul smell is hard to stomach. They say men had to suit up with gloves and face masks to clean the restaurant.
One pharmacy owner said he had to close down his store for several days because of the penetrating odor.
Bags were seen being brought out of the restaurant from cleaning contractors, who refused to say what was inside.
A representative from the building's management company, Chestnut Holdings, told News 12 over the phone that they are involved in a legal matter with the tenant and cannot comment.
