Heavy rain soaks the Bronx

Heavy rain fell across the Bronx Friday morning, causing flooding on some streets.

Large puddles pooled in the middle of the street on Lafayette Avenue in Soundview.

As the rain fell, the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory in the Bronx and Kings County for the earlier part of the morning.

The rain has since cleared making way for some sunshine.

Some rain can be expected for the weekend, according to News 12 meteorologists.
