Mayor de Blasio, city officials hold Tropical Storm Hermine press conference

Mayor Bill de Blasio and city officials from the Office of Emergency Management held a press conference Friday, warning New Yorkers to brace for the potential of Tropical Storm Hermine.
All of New York City was placed under a tropical storm watch just moments before the mayor addressed the public.
He warned all New Yorkers to be prepared as the storm is expected to make its way toward the coastline. He added that everyone should be prepared and that all city beaches would be closed to swimming on Sunday.
Hermine barreled through Florida early Friday, leaving at least one man dead and creating a path of destruction, which included coastal flooding, heavy rain and high winds.
News 12 meteorologists say there is potential for more than 2 inches of rain and 4 to 6 inches in some coastal areas.
