9/11 memorial ceremony held at Lou Gehrig Plaza

A commemoration ceremony was held Wednesday at Lou Gehrig Plaza honoring the 144 Bronx residents who died on Sept. 11.

Family members, first responders and children came together to pay their respects at the annual day of remembrance.

This year for the first time, representatives from all different faiths were present to remember those who perished 15 years ago.

Organizers say the ceremony is held a few days after the actual anniversary to allow those who lost family and friends to honor them on Sept. 11.
