NYPD: Man arrested in fatal double shooting

A double shooting in Highbridge Park in Manhattan left one man dead Monday and ended with a police chase that stretched into the Bronx.

A police source says a gunman shot and killed a 36-year-old man, then saw a potential witness and shot him too.

The shooter fired multiple shots into the first victim's head, according to the source.

The second victim was wounded in the shoulder but alerted nearby police officers. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital.

The officers chased the suspect over High Bridge and into the Bronx, where they arrested him.
