Tenant claims landlord won’t fix horrible housing conditions

A woman who lives on Belmont Avenue is claiming that her apartment doesn't have any gas or hot water.
Sabrina Velez says her landlord isn't taking care of her unit. She says her apartment also has leaky walls, cracking ceilings and is filled with mice and roaches.
"What he does is that when Section 8 comes to do inspection, he tells me not to open the doors or let them come in," Velez says. "I want him to be registered as a slum lord."
Velez claims that her landlord has even forged her signature to submit repairs to Section 8 that she never approved.
The landlord, Michael Khodadadian, says he has never asked Velez to avoid an apartment inspection, and that he just paid for several repairs.
Velez claims that the repairs don't last and her apartment goes back to the way it was days later. She says she wants to move out but can't because Section 8 is accusing her of owing back rent.
Khodadadian says he's already legally released Velez of her lease, and has even offered to help pay for the move.
Velez says she will be going to an attorney next week to try and find a solution.
