Hip-hop legend D.M.C. visits Bronx community center

Hip-hop legend Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels made an appearance at the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center Thursday.
The member of the groundbreaking group Run-D.M.C. is using his story to inspire kids throughout the Bronx to chase their dreams.
During his visit, he shared stories about his own life, struggles with alcohol and depression and how he overcame adversity to build a career.
McDaniels emphasized during his remarks that hip-hop has put him in a position to help others. He now uses the powerful D.M.C. name to represent dedication, motivation and concentration.
