Police have released surveillance video of a man they believe stole a police car and then crashed it in University Heights early Sunday morning.
They say the man took the car, which had the keys in the ignition, from a parking lot at 3450 Kingsbridge Ave.
Officials say the man drove the vehicle near Fordham Road and Sedgewick Avenue and crashed it into four parked vehicles.
Witnesses say the suspect then got into a black Lincoln Town car and fled the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Police say the man was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater and black jacket.
