A man accused of stabbing a 70-year-old in the neck outside a homeless shelter in the Bronx is in custody, according to police.
The 70-year-old man is in critical condition after police say he was stabbed in the neck Sunday night just before 12 a.m. outside 1974 Hughes Ave.
Police say the 70-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, who are both residents at a homeless shelter for the mentally challenged, got into an argument over money when the 50-year-old stabbed the 70-year-old in the neck.
The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition and the suspect was arrested at the shelter a few hours later. Police say charges are pending.
