Bronx resident bringing one-woman show to off-Broadway

A Bronx resident is bringing her one-woman show to an off-Broadway stage.
Sonny Marie Lee is planning her return to the spotlight after a broken sidewalk shattered her knee. After four and a half months of physical therapy, Lee is back on her feet and ready to perform her coming-of-age story called "The Bronx Babe"
"It's about the 70s, with busing and racial wars and me being biracial - half-Irish, half-Puerto Rican. We have "A Bronx Tale" by Chazz Palminteri, mostly centering on boys, but this is a story about young girls," she says.
Her latest hurdle is fundraising. Lee recently started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 to bring the show to a Manhattan theater.
