Clock ticking for Medicare, Medicaid enrollment

With only five days left to enroll in Medicare and Medicaid one couple is offering tips that could help save you money.
Arthur and Maritza Deitsch have been through a lot because Arthur has primary lateral sclerosis. They say the treatments and drugs for the disease are not cheap, so when it comes to enrolling in Medicare and Medicaid they do their homework.
"Research, always research, always look into the plan that you have and other plans to see if there is something that would benefit you," says Maritza.
A few years back the couple reached out to the Medicare and Medicaid Advisory Group. There is a cost for the service, but the organization sometimes takes on pro-bono cases. The group helps people find the plan that is right for them.
Stephanie Sherry, staff attorney at Medicare and Medicaid Advisory Group, says it's important to pay attention to prescriptions. Sherry says having the wrong part D plan could cost people thousands of dollars.
