Bronx sanitation crews ready for snow

Sanitation crews throughout the Bronx and the city are ready in the event snow is in the forecast.

Department of Sanitation officials want residents to know they are prepared to handle 2 inches or 30 inches of snow. The city has an $88.1 million budget set aside for snow removal for next year.

The agency says it will start plowing snow when there is more than 2 inches on the ground. Officials say with more than 526 large spreaders and 163 small spreaders, they are ready to take on the snow.

Officials say they plan to keep the streets safe.
