Friends and fans of beloved radio personality Joey Boots gathered Friday to mourn a life cut short.
It has been a tough loss to process for Erik Bleaman, after finding his best friend, Joseph Bassolino, dead last Friday.
"I've been crying half of the week, and you know, it's just been a rough week for me," says Bleaman. "Joey was like a brother to me."
Bassolino's friends and family gathered at his home to remember the military vet, gay rights advocate and podcast host, who they say was taken too soon.
Bassolino and Bleaman were both part of Howard Stern's "Wack Pack."
They were known to fans of the radio show as High Pitch Erik and Joey Boots.
