Family friends testify in Coello murder trial

Two witnesses testified for the prosecution today as the murder trial of former NYPD officer Edwin Coello continued for a fifth day. Coello, 41, is accused of fatally beating and choking his wife, Tina Adovasio, and then dumping her body along the Taconic Parkway in March 2011. On the stand, a family friend said Coello was abusive and that Adovasio had said she was scared of him. Another witness, one of Coello's friends, says he admitted he snapped and that he was ashamed of killing his wife. The medical examiner is expected to testify tomorrow, with the defense expected to call their witnesses on Friday. Witness testifies that ex-cop admitted killing his wife
