Protest planned over fatal 1999 Diallo shooting case

A protest is being planned over the decision to give one officer his gun back following the 1999 fatal shooting of an unarmed Bronx immigrant.
Rev. Al Sharpton is joining the mother of Amadou Diallo to criticize NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly for what they say is a betrayal. Four police officers fired 41 shots at Diallo while he stood in front of his home.
The officers believed Diallo was reaching for a gun, but it later turned out to be his wallet. All four were cleared of any wrongdoing.
A rally will be held in front of 1 Police Plaza on Sunday.
