Voters in 12th City Council District inspired by new leader

Residents in the 12th City Council District say they feel rejuvenated by their newest representative.

Andy King won 80 percent of the vote on Tuesday, attributing his victory to having lived in Baychester and Wakefield for his entire life. He has served the community for more than 20 years, especially by spearheading youth empowerment programs.

Neighbors insist their children need more after-school programs and say they believe King can come through on that promise.
