Snowy, slick conditions slow down commuters

Mother Nature hit the borough with another blast of winter weather Thursday.

Commuters braved heavy snowfall, icy conditions and plummeting temperatures. The city issued a hazardous travel advisory early in the day.

Drivers should use caution and take mass transit if possible. Pedestrians will want to watch out for slick spots that have frozen over after Wednesday's melt.

Commuters say buses that stop in the borough have been running with delays, so everyone is urged to allow extra time to get to their destinations.
