Police say they have made an arrest in connection with the stabbing death of a 21-year-old Bronx man.
Monday afternoon, police say 21-year-old Norberto Valentin-Cruz died at the hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach at his apartment on Carroll Place.
Now, the victim's girlfriend has been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim's family tells News 12 the Bronx that they tried to get the couple help to deal with their violent fighting. They says the couple used to get into fistfights all the time.
The girlfriend has been identified as 23-year-old Kristal Delvalle.
One cousin says the couple had been together for four years, and just moved to New York from Puerto Rico. He says the couple got into a verbal argument inside their apartment just moments before cops say Delvalle stabbed Valentin-Cruz to death.
There's no word yet on any funeral arrangements for the victim.
