Homicide detectives have linked a man to the murder of a 20-year-old in the Bronx.

According to investigators, Malcolm Jacob, of Brooklyn, was stabbed to death on Merriam Avenue Tuesday night after an alleged argument with the suspect, 56-year-old Michael Crocker.

Police say the fight was over a pair of stolen sneakers. They believe Crocker is the boyfriend of Jacob's mother.
