Man arrested for allegedly killing girlfriend's son

Police have a man in custody for a fatal stabbing in Highbridge earlier this week. 



According to authorities, 56-year-old Michael Crocker was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. 



They say Crocker stabbed 20-year-old Malcolm Jacob, of Brooklyn, on Merriam Avenue during a fight over a pair of stolen sneakers. Crocker is the boyfriend of the victim's mother. 



Jacob was rushed to Lincoln Hospital and pronounced dead.
