Police say that an accident on the Grand Concourse has killed one person and critically injured two others, including a child.

Authorities are investigating how the green taxi cab jumped a curb and smashed into the gates between two buildings at around 6:30 p.m.

News 12 The Bronx spoke with two people who say they saw the aftermath, including a man lying on the sidewalk next to the car and a little girl who was in an ambulance getting CPR. They say they did not see the driver of the cab.

EMS says two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
