Bronx student heads to White House Science Fair

A local high school student has created an app that could change the way schools work everywhere.
Shemar Dacosta, who attends the Bronx Academy for Software Engineer, is one of two New York City kids chosen to attend the White House Science Fair Monday.
The app is called Voices, and gives the students an anonymous voice to talk about any issues going on in school, including bullying.
The forum allows students to post their experiences about certain issues via text, photo or video while staying safe and remaining anonymous.
