Reports: Contractor eyed in East Village blast

There are reports that investigators are now looking into whether a Bronx-based general contractor played a role in last week's deadly Manhattan explosion.
According to DNAinfo.com, Dilber Kukic has performed work at 121 Second Ave. in the East Village in the last year. The report also says he is being looked at in another unrelated case.
The investigation into exactly what caused the blast remains ongoing as authorities highlight the problem of illegal pipe tampering to steal gas. Mayor Bill de Blasio says a gas-tapping trend hasn't been uncovered so far.
Meanwhile, officials are trying to identify the second victim pulled from the rubble through DNA testing. The other person killed has been identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Figueroa.
A total of 22 people were hurt, including four critically.
