New website helps to connect Bronx artists

A website that launched two weeks ago is showcasing the work of about 200 Bronx artists, from painters to graffiti artists.

BX200.com is meant to connect the artists with each other, as well as collectors and curators.

Website founders Valeri Larko and Laura James say they have received web traffic from around the globe, as far away as Europe and Africa.

The site has also surprised local artists by revealing how close some of them live to one another, the creators say.

"It's been more popular than we've ever expected. We've had almost 10,000 people come to the site and look at the different artists," Larko told News 12.
