NYPD uses ShotSpotter to find wounded man

The NYPD successfully used its brand new ShotSpotter technology to find a man who was shot in the back on College Avenue.

Police found the victim in Concourse Village Monday.

News 12 has learned that the ShotSpotter's sensors alerted police to gunfire, and they were able to get to the 22-year-old and rush him to Lincoln Hospital.

The shooting investigation is ongoing.
