Police: Jewelry stolen from Longwood apartment

Police say an apartment in Longwood was robbed Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred at 1018 163rd St. just before 8 p.m. Authorities say a man was going around the apartment building knocking on doors and saying his name was "Julienne." While many did not answer their doors, a woman working as a home attendant in one apartment did.

The victim says the suspect struck her after she opened the door. Police say the man then stole jewelry from the elderly woman whom the victim was watching.

Neighbors say they hope that police are able to catch the suspect before he strikes again.
