Man charged in Bronx River Parkway crash

A 29-year-old man has been charged after crashing into a patrol car along the Bronx River Parkway Wednesday.
The incident happened at around 9 a.m.
A witness says the man first crashed into him along the Bronx River Parkway. He says the force of the impact caused the suspect to lose control of his car, sending him into a nearby patrol car. That patrol vehicle was parked in front of the NYPD Highway 1 Unit.
Police say the driver, 29-year-old Yoel Villa-Lantigua, fled but was later arrested. He is charged with reckless driving and operating a vehicle with at least a .08 blood alcohol level.
Witnesses say they saw two passengers in the car being handcuffed as well.
