Residents help pick projects for improvement spending

Riverdale residents are helping the government decide how to spend $1 million for community improvements in the area.

It's all part of a new initiative called participatory budgeting.

Residents are reviewing 11 proposed projects, and picking their top five. When votes are collected at the end of April, $1 million will be used for the top picks.

Voting for the Riverdale District ends April 18.
