New Yorkers hit the ground running Sunday for the "Healthy Minds - Healthy Bodies 5K Run and Walk" at Van Cortlandt Park.
The Riverdale Mental Health Association hosted its sixth annual race to raise awareness for mental wellness.
The race kicked off at 11 a.m. and took participants around the park's parade grounds.
Organizers say they hope the event raises awareness about the link between physical and mental health.
