After about two years of construction, a Residence Inn Marriott hotel is now open for business in the Bronx.

The new hotel is located in the Hutchinson Metro Center on Eastchester Road.

Each of the 125 studios and suites in the hotel are equipped with a full kitchen and plenty of space to relax or entertain. The hotel also includes a fitness center, outdoor patio, laundry facility, evening lounge and a spa.

The Residence Inn Marriott employs 50 workers, many of whom are from the Bronx.

"They have a knowledge of the area and local neighborhoods," said Joseph Kelleher, of Simone Metro Properties, on the benefits of hiring Bronx natives.

People who have stayed at the new hotel say that they had a great experience and that the staff was excellent.
