Police say a man was shot in broad daylight Tuesday in Longwood.

The shooting occurred at around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Westchester and Prospect avenues.

Police say a man in his 20s was shot in the torso. They say he was taken to Lincoln Hospital and is in stable condition.

Detectives were seen collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance video from a nearby tire shop as well as the Longwood Fish Market. They were also spotted picking up a revolver inside the market and placing it in a bag.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
