Mom accused of abducting her child faces judge

A Bronx mother, accused of abducting her 4-year-old daughter, returned to the borough today to face a judge.
Prosecutors say Dora Olarte took her daughter, Mia, who has Down syndrome out of the New York Foundling foster care center in Mott Haven last week during a supervised visit.
Olarte does not have custody of her daughter, and the disappearance prompted an Amber Alert.
The girl was found safe in Queens, and returned to her foster home.
Olarte is facing several charges, including custodial interference and endangering the welfare of a child.
