Hunts Point school celebrates 100th anniversary

Students and faculty at P.S. 48 in Hunts Point celebrated the school's 100th anniversary on Thursday.



Students celebrated their teachers and their community, and remembered how much the school has grown over the years.



The institution opened in 1917. Just last year, it was robbed of its instruments. Fortunately, Ellen DeGeneres kindly gave P.S. 48 new instruments for students on her show.
