Attempted rape suspect wanted in Bedford Park

The NYPD has released surveillance video of a man wanted for assault and attempted rape in Bedford Park.
According to police, the suspect followed a 20-year-old woman from the D train subway station on Bedford Park Boulevard just after midnight on Wednesday.
Authorities say that when the victim got into her apartment building on the Grand Concourse, the man touched her buttocks, grabbed her neck and demanded that she take her shorts off.
The woman tried to defend herself, but was choked and briefly lost consciousness, police say. When she came to moments later, she was able to fight back until the man ran away.
The suspect is described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, with muscular arms and a shaped-up beard. He was wearing a red Polo shirt with a 24-hour Fitness logo on the front, dark track pants and sneakers. Cops say he may have scratches on his face.
