Cops seek thief in BX home burglary

Police are searching for a thief they say broke into a home near the Bronx Zoo.

Officials say a man broke into a home near Muliner and Neill avenues on June 28 at around 5 p.m.

He allegedly came in through the kitchen window and stole jewelry, electronics and some clothing before running off.

Police say no one was injured. The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds.

The NYPD is reminding New Yorkers to avoid leaving their windows unlocked.
