22-year-old fatally shot inside 99-cent store

A young Bronx man was fatally shot in broad daylight Wednesday inside a 99-cent store in Marble Hill, police say.

According to police, the 22-year-old victim, who some witnesses say was nicknamed "Mino," was hit in the chest at 5221 Broadway.

Surveillance video appears to show the suspect waiting in the deli next to the store before he draws his weapon, opens fire and then runs off.

Witnesses say that after hearing about four or five gunshots, they found the victim lying on the floor, gasping for air.

Officials pronounced the victim dead at Allen Pavilion Hospital.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
