A 24-year-old Bronx man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times in Crotona Park.
According to neighbors, a group of people were gathered near Vyse Avenue and East 172nd Street when gunshots went off, sending the crowd running.
Police say three bullets hit the victim in the shoulder, hip and back at around 10:30 p.m. Monday. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and is expected to be OK.
The victim's identity has not yet been released, but neighbors add that he lives right near where the shooting took place.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information that could help catch the gunman should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
