Number of 'dangerous' public schools in NYC on the decline

According to a report, the number of public schools considered to be "dangerous," by the state, is on the decline.

The report says that 27 out of the 32 schools on the Department of Education's list were in the city, with 13 in the Bronx.

In 2013, the citywide figure was 40.

The survey was based on the numbers of serious incidents at each school, from assaults to weapons brought on campus, compared to the number of students.
