Mental health house marks 1 year with Goodwill

A local clubhouse that helps residents with mental health conditions is marking its first anniversary under new management.

It has been one year since Goodwill took over management at The Lantern House.

The clubhouse was developed for people living with mental illnesses in the South Bronx and acts as a place for them to socialize and work together.

The goal of The Lantern House is to retrain Bronx residents vocationally and encourage them to accomplish any goals they may have.

The clubhouse helps get the members back in to society, interacting with neighbors and building self-confidence.
