Trooper talks BX woman down from bridge

After a Bronx woman reportedly told her friends she was mulling suicide, a New York state trooper located her on the Thruway near Exit 11 in Nyack and talked her out of jumping from the Tappan Zee Bridge, according to officials.
Trooper James Foley found a 39-year-old woman who was in a car with her 2-year-old daughter. The woman's friends called police, saying she had told them she was considering jumping from the bridge.
The woman was taken to Nyack Hospital for a psychological evaluation. The little girl was released to her father.
Foley had actually done something similar before.
In 2009, News 12 reported that Foley had found a different woman walking along the Thruway and talked her out of jumping from the bridge.
