2 injured in shooting near 2 Claremont NYCHA complexes

Police say two men were shot early Wednesday morning in between two Claremont NYCHA complexes.

Authorities say the shooting occurred just before 1:30 a.m. at the corner of East 170th Street and Park Avenue.

The area is in between the Gouverneur Morris Houses and the Butler Houses; just blocks from Claremont Park.

When police arrived, they found a 27-year-old with a gunshot wound in the shoulder and a 22-year-old with a gunshot wound in the torso.

Both are expected to be OK.

Police are still searching for a gunman who they say was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
