Police seek suspect in Boost Mobile store robbery

Police are on the hunt for the suspect who robbed a Boost Mobile cellphone store at gunpoint in Hunts Point Friday evening.

They say the incident happened on Longwood Avenue, not far from the 41st Precinct.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store and confronted a 35-year-old clerk. He pulled a gun out of his pocket while the clerk was assisting a customer.

Police say the clerk attempted to block the suspect from going behind the cash register, but he was not successful.

The store owner says the suspect stole several thousand dollars in cash and 10 cellphones.

Authorities say the suspect was last seen wearing a green baseball cap and all black clothing.

Anyone with information about the suspect's whereabouts is urged to contact police.
