Fire breaks out at Port Morris warehouse
A fire broke out at a Port Morris factory, sending employees fleeing from the building.
The flames sparked at 874 E. 139th St. Fire officials believe the fire may have started in the factory's boiler or duct work at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
They say the fire quickly spread to the roof, which was partially damaged. They say the fire also may have spread quickly because of the amount of lint in the facility.
Fire officials say no one was hurt.
Three companies occupy the building, including Carnegie Linen and Carnegie Valet.
An owner of one of the companies says 400 people work in the building, and that they will be able to return to work today.
