The wife of a slain taxi driver says her husband was killed in cold blood.
Police say they found Mamadou Barry, 39, dead in his green Lincoln Town Car on Beaumont Avenue with a gunshot wound to the head at around 1:30 a.m.
Kadiatou Jalloh, Barry's wife, says she can't believe someone would take away the father of her three children and her unborn child.
Barry's brother-in-law, Augustin Maupass, says he was on the phone with him right before the incident. He says he heard Barry tell the passenger the amount of the fare and seconds later, he says he heard Barry say, "This guy has a gun."
The family plans to bring Barry's body back to Guinea as police search for a suspect.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
