Police have charged a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run crash in City Island last week.

Michael Moreno turned himself in at the 45th Precinct Tuesday morning, according to officials.

The crash killed 27-year-old Gabriela Aguilar-Vallinos as she walked home from work on Sept. 11.

Moreno has been charged with several felonies, including manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of a deadly accident.

A memorial to Aguilar-Vallinos was placed on the City Island Bridge at the scene of the accident.
