Crossing guard warns about dangerous intersection

A concerned crossing guard is sounding an alarm about a dangerous intersection in the Bronx.
The intersection is located at Jerome Avenue and East 195th Street, which is where Luis Santiago has been stationed.
He says when kids are going to and from school, cars speed and don't follow his directions.
"All the way to 195th and Jerome Avenue, they go 35 and 40 mph, when this is a 20 mph zone," he says. "Now it's worse, it's getting worse."
He says there needs to be a speed camera, more patrols, and a speed limit sign put up.

When News 12 went to interview Santiago about the dangerous intersection, there was a crash between a taxi and Limousine Commission Enforcement vehicle a block away. A police source says it started when the livery cab ran a red light. The officer says when the enforcement officer tired to issue a ticket, the cab rammed the car and fled.
