Police: Man stabbed, tires slashed in Morrisania

A man with a knife allegedly ran down Brooke Avenue in Morrisania slashing tires before he stabbed a car owner who confronted him, police say.

Officers arrested 25-year-old Bashae Trotman in connection with the crimes. They say he admitted to slashing the tires.

News 12 cameras found at least 40 cars over a span of just two blocks that had their tires slashed.

One car owner reportedly confronted Trotman. That man was rushed to Lincoln Hospital with minor injuries. Witnesses say he was stabbed as many as five times.

Trotman was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief, according to officials.
